Description

We will guide you to visit Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, as Thailand was known as. Bangkok’s “must see” are all in this escorted tour, the Grand Palace, Wat Traimit, Wat Arun, Wat Pho and Wat Phra Kaew. By taking a leisurely cruise from Notaburi, we will see the city from a different perspective.

Day 01: Arrival in Bangkok
Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide will be waiting for you at the exit holding a welcome board with your name on it. We will escort you to check in at the hotel in downtown. The rest of the day is free for you at leisure.

Accommodation: Majestic Grande Sukhumvit (4 stars) - Superior Room

Day 02: Bangkok (B+L)
Our guide will take you to Wat Pho to experience the monks morning chanting ritual(starts at 9am). Wat Pho is famous for the 45-metre reclining Buddha. Continue to the Grand Palace, inside which holds the mysterious Emerald Buddha. Note: Appropriate dress is required (or can be rented on site). Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

Later you will board a private long-tail boat onto the peaceful Klong Bang Luang, passing by shop houses, local temples and vendors on this waterway. The boat stops at Baan Silapin, where you will enjoy the gallery, take part in an art workshop or explore the local community. Travel back to the city and visit the Temple of Dawn – Wat Arun.

Day 03: Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok(B+L)
The day begins with around 1.5 hours drive to Ayutthaya, passing through verdant countryside and lush paddy fields. The morning is spent exploring the breathtaking temple-studded landscape, visiting the highlighted temples Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat (where the Buddha face is naturally emerged out of the tree), and strolling through a local market to get to Wat Phra Srisanphet. Proceed to the Muslim Quarter to sample an unusual local delicacy, candy floss roti.

After that, drive to Wat Chong Lom pier and embark on the modern air-conditioned cruiser, the Grand Pearl. Leisurely cruise back to Bangkok about 3 hours along the Chao Phraya River, enjoying superb buffet lunch on board while witnessing rural Thai life along both sides of the River of Kings.

Day 04: Departure from Bangkok (B)
You may enjoy free time before departure. We will transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight.
